Dr. Alcalde is a Board Certified Surgeon and Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Alcalde received his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training in Japan, The Netherlands and the US where he worked with the world leaders in facial reconstruction and dental implants. Upon completion of his residency at the University of Washington, Seattle, he joined the full-time faculty with an active clinical practice in different aspects of jaw reconstruction and dental implants at this prestigious institution.
Dr. Alcalde lectures and teaches courses at national and international level and has made numerous contributions to surgical textbooks and scientific journals. He maintains affiliations with the University of Washington and the University of Florida where he participates in the teaching of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Orthodontic and Prosthodontic Residents.
Dr. Alcalde practices the full scope in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery including the removal of teeth, surgical removal of wisdom teeth, dental implant reconstruction, facial and jaw reconstruction, office sedation, and general anesthesia.
